This bill expands the application of certain indecent exposure offenses in Tennessee to include victims between the ages of 13 and 17 years old. Specifically, the bill adds new provisions that prohibit knowingly inviting, enticing, or fraudulently inducing a minor into a person's residence for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification through indecent exposure or masturbation. It also prohibits a person from knowingly engaging in such conduct in the intended presence of a minor without the minor's consent. The amendments to the existing law clarify that these new provisions apply to defendants who are 18 years of age or older and the child victims are at least 13 but no more than 17 years old. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2024 and applies to prohibited conduct occurring on or after that date.
